CALL FOR ARTISTS CONTRIBUTIONS
Network Art is a
multi-disciplinar and collective digital art project, with a shifting geography dimension. It allows an exploration outside of the elitistic art view, society, and the inidividual identity/success research.
The process consists in experimenting together by successive interventions on common materials/médias. For example we have a picture from someone, the next one put a graphic inside, and someone else can use those two materials to do something else with : transform it, destroy it, input something more, etc ...
It may become a video, a mixt-media piece.
Every step is downloadable as a folder wich contains the different files associated, to be used as a begining for someone else. The project growing-up belongs to different exponential structures, hierarchical (tree-structure) or not (multi-center).

POSITIONS
This project deals with creative commons licences (copyleft). We concentrate our reflexion on creation, away from private and intellectual property and human productions merchandisation.
All the contents provided can be used by someone else, downloaded, modified ... Nobody can use a piece in his name or use it for his own-profit.
Also the idea is
not to make a demonstration of self-creativity, but to compose with little things, spontaneously. Usualy, people interested in creation, have a lot of things begins, forget in a corner, wich are waiting to exist.
The
random is an important component, the wish
to not control everything. The visual results could be really
unsightly, we can also see an unexpected sense, or symbiosis appears in this dialog.
The things are dying somewhere and are living somewhere else.We believe in collective interactions, emulation and progression.
Nothing could appears without the intervention of each other, even if this one seems
insignificant. Take it easy and play !
EVOLUTIONS
We would like to develop this project through 2 axes :
- To develop a web-platform and tools to work collectively online, from different places, and show the productions made.
- To develop manifestations, performances and workshops to adapt, and play in real space around the virtual pieces realised.
We hope to have different people involved around the world in the future to make their own experiments with groups in their country.
MONEYWe would like to stay autonomous by developing a self-sustainable-economy based on donations and events. The question to ask for european subventions stay to discuss.
WEB DEVELOPMENTA major development work is to be done, we are still interested to receive crazy web-developers help !
For now, we will try to present the different structures and series in this blog.
A presentation of the future website achitecture/interfaces will be ready soon.
BERLIN NETWORK 2010
Currenlty based in Berlin, we'd like to experiment this process in a little group with different practices! Vidéo, stage expressions, dance, graphic, crafts, painting, sound-making ... All proposition is welcome and we can help to "digitalise" your idea !
We hope to have nice experiences, meetings, and perform in this city next year.
